IMPRESSIVE CV MAKING WITH COMPLETE DETAILED SAMPLE FOR ENGINEERING STUDENTS

Hello Friends, in the following article I will be sharing my interview experience for GET(Printing) recruitment at ITC Ltd. and will cover all the aspects of my interview.

Lets start it with Curriculum Vitae, also called CV. CV is a crucial and an essential part of your job interview. In most of the renowned job interviews, we firstly need to show our CV to the interviewer.  Its the first face of you where you need to present yourself very well. Basically, a candidate need to advertise himself to impress the interviewer.

"First impression is the last impression" know this fact.??

As per interviewer's point of view, the CV must be well arranged, precise and short. 

Now please don't be confused between Resume and CV, because there's no such difference as for a student.  

The major parts of a CV/Resume are:

• NAME
• ADDRESS
• EMAIL  | MOBILE NUMBER | DATE OF BIRTH
• CAREER OBJECTIVE (not essential always - as per your wish)
• EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (must be up-to-date)
• SKILLS (can be anything related to your subject is concerned - software skills, management skills, technological skills)
• WORK EXPERIENCE (very important - this is the part in which interviewers are most interested-in)
• ACHIEVEMENTS (This section includes your recognition and  awards for your participation in different events)
• EXTRA-CURRICULUM ACTIVITIES/HOBBIES (This actually tells, how active are you beside academics)

Work Experience/Internships/Industrial Visits

1     .      Industrial Visit at DIC Inks India Pvt Ltd Ink Manufacturing Facility (March 201x – 1 Day visit)

2     .       Summer Intern at ITC Ltd Paperboards & Speciality Paper Division. Unit:Bhadrachalam( May 201x - July201x)

·         Paper Testing Methods: Worked with specialized paper testing devices to estimate the paper parameters and generalization of paper behaviour with the ink. Analysed the surface properties as well as ink penetration in the paper.

·         Characterization and Measurement of Ink Feathering in Paper (Project Title): Determined some factors causing ink feathering/strikethrough in papers and developed a testing method to measure it, also characterized ink feathering on the basis of its extent.

·         Application of computer skill in Paper Technology: Used image processing techniques to quantitatively analyse Ink feathering.

 

3.       Research Intern at Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata (September 201x – May 201x)

Worked on Image Processing and Machine Learning algorithms. Using MATLAB, optimized the algorithms and accuracy.

Achievements

·               Secured 1^st Position in ‘National Social Science Exhibition 200x’ organized by KVS.

·               Secured All India Rank-45 and Regional Rank-13 in “12^th Junior Mathematics Olympiad (JMO) 201x” organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan (Hqrts.), New Delhi.

·               Secured 2^nd Position in the Manual Robotics event ‘Tandem’ organized by ‘Srijan 201x’ (The Annual Techno-Management Festival of Jadavpur University).

·               Finalist in the Manual Robotics event ‘Skyfall’ organized by ROBOTIX-Robotics society of IIT Kharagpur under Kshitij 201x (The Annual Techno-Management Festival of IIT Kharagpur).

·               Lead the team of Jadavpur University students in ‘West Bengal Science and Technology Exhibition, 201x’ for presenting innovation robotics models.
